The bottle ovens are what pull me in, but the workshops keep me there. I’d take someone who thinks pottery is just pretty plates and let the buildings change their mind.

I’d head for the terrace garden before doing a longer lap. The terracotta details feel exactly right for Burslem; they’re worth noticing rather than walking straight past.
